AMMA commenced working with Reading SU in summer 2025, following a change to their senior commercial leadership team, which impacted oversight of media sales.

The objectives were to: oversee media sales delivery, including Freshers Fair and the renewal of key contracts; achieve media sales income budget for 2025-26; conduct a media asset valuation, and advise on how to increase this; review all processes and operations, and provide recommendations on next steps.

By utilising AMMA's industry knowledge, experience and contacts, we were able to provide the necessary training, recommendations and oversight to increase commercial stallholders at Freshers Fair to a sold out event, and deliver a 28% YOY increase to overall media sales income. We improved client and stakeholder relationships, with a satisfaction score of 84%, and secured favourable renewals of key contracts.

Following the exploration of outsourcing to a media partner, and subsequent decision to continue managing media sales in-house, AMMA were able to advise on the next steps on recruitment, and provide a comprehensive handover. We have since continued to support from afar when needed, with the onboarding and training of staff members, the delivery of ReFreshers and other events, and general advice and support.

Following the media sales consultancy period, Reading SU had not only improved media sales performance and processes, but were in a much stronger position to continue developing their income, delivery and operations, following key uplifts, developments and futureproofing made from AMMA's work with them.
